I must say, as soon as I read about Fred, the talking book, it came to mind the novel should be sent to a company overseas who produce animated films precisely like the subject of this book … fairies, talking books, mermaids, living trees, pirates and talking parrots (Jimabi). I have since read the story a second time. It’s well written, with plenty of twists and turns.
